    `<img src="<?php the_post_thumbnail('thumbnail',
   array('class' => 'image-3'));?>">` but in the front of my page will show “>”
   this element, how to I get rid of it?

 * Hi [@madebymt](https://wordpress.org/support/users/madebymt/),
    if I remember
   correctly [the_post_thumbnail()](https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/the_post_thumbnail/)
   returns the whole tag (including `<img />`). You will want to use [get_the_post_thumbnail_url()](https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_the_post_thumbnail_url/)
   to get only the URL for the thumbnail.

   some other element.
