    Hi,

please verify whether you have selected the option “Hide” in “Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings > Display Sidebar on Posts/Pages” and “Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings > Display Sidebar on Archives”.

Hey.. I am having this same issue, but I think the language in setting up a website is different and am unsure how to resolve this issue. I’m pretty new to wordpress so please go easy on me!!

    Here’s my site:

Just want that picture of the lobster to be stretched all the way across the page like the placeholder photo did.

    Thanks so much :)!

    Hi @findyourlobster,

I am sorry, but this support thread is determined only for the RetroTale theme. I can see that you are using a different theme at this moment. Please contact your theme’s author for further help. Thank you for understanding.

    Hi Tomas!

You solved my issue a while ago, but it seems to have happened again. I checked and I still have “Hide” in “Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings > Display Sidebar on Posts/Pages” and “Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings > Display Sidebar on Archives”.

Do you have any idea what is causing this?

Here is the web page: http://vintageboutique.com.au/hire/

    Thanks again 🙂

    Hi,

the problem is caused by the fact that the images are not wide enough to stretch across the entire page. The width of the content area without sidebar is 1114 px, but your images are only 734 px wide. Please upload them in a higher resolution (or center them in the Visual Editor to achieve a better look).

    Best regards,

    Hi there,

I’ve tried and retried what you said to no avail. The images did stretch across the page before and I din’t make any changes and now this is happening. If I go to the back end of the site it tells me that those images are actually larger than that at 1920×283. Could something on that page be restricting them for some reason?

    Hi,

if you deactivate all plugins, does the problem still occur? When you edit the images in the Visual Editor, is selected the “Maximal” size?

    Hey!

That did it! The weird thing was that I deactivated all the plugins and the images returned to normal (across the entire page), then activated them one by one to see which was the culprit but none of them did it? Do you have any idea why?

Thanks so much for your help anyway! Great support and great theme 🙂

    Hi,

I am glad it helped! Plugins sometimes can work very unpredictably and cause conflicts between themselves. If you notice some strange behavior on your website, I recommend you to deactivate all plugins (one by one) as a first step in troubleshooting. In most cases it can fix the issue.
