Support » Plugin: NextGEN Gallery - WordPress Gallery Plugin » Images will not upload

I have NextGEN Gallery and have had little issue since it was redone, but suddenly I am unable to upload any photos to any albums including new ones. I can still go into the albums and make edits and those show fine as well, but I can not get any new photos on. I tried updating my plugins, deactivating plugins, resizing the images to a width of 960p and also just persistence in trying.

A yellow triangle pops up and I believe I caught a glimpse of a message that says something about HTML 5 maybe? But then there is the confirmation box saying that 0 photos have been uploaded. I also checked the names of the files because that had been an issue once before.

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

@sbhs – Have there been any changes to your site (theme and/or plugin updates) or your web hosting service since you last were able to upload images?

    – Cais.

The web hosting and theme are the same. There have been plugin updates, including the NexGen Gallery Version 2.0.66. I’m not exactly sure when though, so I tried deactivating the plugins including the Gallery, clearing my cache, reactivating just the Gallery and encountered the same issue with loading images.

@sbhs – Did this just start happening, or has it been going on for a while?

The last two updates were specifically security related dealing with what specific file types are allowed to be updated, but they have been in place for just over a month.

    – Cais.

As far as I know it just started, but the last time I specifically remember uploading images with no issue was late April of this year.

We had some changes made to the website to make it more mobile device compatible and a new plugin was added (by someone else, so I’m iffy on details unfortunately).

    The plugins currently active are…
    – All In One SEO Pack
    – Contact Form 7
    – CSS & JavaScript Toolbox
    – Enhanced Menu Editor *This one is new.
    – Events Manager
    – My Page Order
    – NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
    – Per Page Sidebars
    – Print Friendly and PDF
    – WordPress Database Backup

@sbhs – I’m not seeing anything specifically with plugin list you have given you have already checked if any were creating a conflict (although some might be troublesome in other areas).

The timeline points to the last major release (before the last two security update releases) as working fine … what specific file type(s) are you trying to upload?

Have you tried a different browser to see if that helps to sort out this issue?

    – Cais.

I’m trying to upload .jpeg’s using Firefox and another colleague tried Internet Explorer with the same results.

Btw, thank you for taking the time to look into this! I’m all out of ideas myself on how to fix this.

Does the yellow triangle with the exclamation point indicate any specific problem?

@sbhs – The current versions of those browsers should be fine … and the “yellow triangle” is more just a generic notification of an issue in most cases.

We may have to get a look under the page at your site as I cannot think of any specific troubleshooting ideas to try at the moment.

Would you be able to submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site’s specifics. We will need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with your Bug Report.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

Ok, I submitted a bug report with the information. If there is anything else I can try on my end please let me know!

@sbhs – Thanks. We have received your Bug Report. We can carry on this conversation there for now.
