Images will not insert!

    How’s it going everyone? I ran an update on wordpress the other day and since then, nothing has been working right.

    I can add images to the media library all day but when I’m adding a new post and go to insert from the gallery, computer, or library the fast insert box goes gray and never returns to normal. When that happens the save draft box usually disappears as well so it’s next to impossible to write new posts without doing everything manually with a number of workarounds.

    Any ideas?

    FYI, I saw some people with similar issues about changing permissions. I’ve tried this is no luck…..

    Did you run an automatic update? You could try updating WordPress manually through ftp, replacing everything but your wp-config.php and the /wp-content/ folder. (Make sure you back up everything in that folder first!)

    That might clear it up before you have to do more detailed troubleshooting.

    Thanks for the response Lettergrade.

    I think it was an issue with a plugin update. I deactivated all plugin’s and it worked fine. I noticed some plugin’s weren’t updated after that so I ran an update on them and it looks like it’s working now. Still not 100% as some coding is changing for no reason but it is at least placing the images accordingly.

    Good to hear. You could try deactivating all the plugins and reactivating them one at a time to see if the weird code changes can be tied to one plugin specifically.
