Support » Fixing WordPress » Images not working in Custom HTML Widgets

  • I installed a clean wordpress and did not installed any plugin or changed the theme. My site is hosted on a shared server at Namecheap.com.

After installation i tried to put a custom widget and add an image there. But it is showing 403 error. I can add plain text and anchors without any issue but it stopped updating if i add any image the.

I tried the same on my other sites on different servers but did not face any such issue yet. can you please give my idea about finding the reason and a solution of this issue?

    I created a screen record https://www.loom.com/share/e51a69b7f5234569b4b1a196a8c58cff

    thank you for your comment.

I know i need to use a img tag to show an image, and this is the issue I am facing in widget. I can add plain text and a tags. But when i try to add anything similar as <img src="img_girl.jpg" alt="sample image"> wordpress throws a 404 error and someting 403 errors.

    I do apologize.
I have to admit that I did not finish watching your video the frist time.

    I see the admin-ajax file it throwing a 403.
Have you disabled your cache on your site? (or wp-rocket, jetpack)
Do you have CludFlare running on the domain?
