@bisonbrah i also tried that but didn’t work, don’t know what is the issue. i have tried the following things still my issue not solved kindly help bro, it’s been 20 days since this problem arose, losing business.

    1. Disabling Plugins
    2. Disabling Theme (was using sahifa theme)
    3. Tried the default twenty sixteen theme
    4. Re-install the WordPress via dashboard> update
    5. Replaced the core files of WordPress using FTP.

Tried these steps stated by @martinjacobson
” 1. Copied all WordPress files except for the wp-content folder to a backup
    2. Deleted all files except for wp-content folder (and contents of wp-content). Also left the config file (wp-config.php) on the root level, important.
    3. Uploaded a clean copy of WordPress 4.4
    4. Logged in to wp-admin and ran updates”

Got it fixed, used these steps properly:
    1. Copied all WordPress files except for the wp-content folder to a backup
    2. Deleted all files except for wp-content folder (and contents of wp-content). Also left the config file (wp-config.php) on the root level, important.
    3. Uploaded a clean copy of WordPress 4.4
    4. Logged in to wp-admin and ran updates”

Sorry guys but I’m an absolute beginner…

A website was built a few years back and the template was riddled with errors and I’m still finding and fixing them. This time I’m lost.

I have an image on my main blog page that has a URL link associated with it that points back to the same page, rather than the Contact Us page. See the smiley image on the right hand side:

    http://jerichoconsulting.co.uk/customer-experience-blog/

Now I would love to either change the redirect URL; or get rid of the image/ code for this part of the page and start again with an image in a widget, but I have absolutely no idea how to get rid of it.

    Can someone please help?

    Kind regards

    Ian

Images not visible in grid view in media library

I have tried several of the fixes listed here, and on other sites, with no results.

This is a basic and fundamental feature of WordPress!

For as long as this bug has been showing up in forums, you would think there would be a fix.

Short of blowing away my site and starting from scratch, I don’t know how to fix it.

    Please help.

I am also experiencing this problem running 4.8.1. I have enabled define(‘WP_DEBUG’, TRUE); but I’m getting no debug information. The curious thing is that I’m unable to display search results when looking to add a new plugin.

I have restored my site from a backup, deactivated all of my plugins, to no avail. Would really appreciate some solid advice.

    Thank you!

After a frustrating week reloading the site with no success, on a whim I reset the php version I was using from 7.0 to 5.6 and everything began to work again, so obviously, something either in WordPress 4.8.1 or one of my plugins was causing my error.

Same problem here, wordpress 4.8.2. Suddenly all old medias are not visible any more inside the madia library… The new ones that I upload are visible, but all the old ones no… I’m already on 5.6 PHP version.

For me the problem was the plugin WPML Media. You must do the procedure of media duplication using the plugin itself, otherwise it’s possible that you will not see the media for the current language.

I had this problem after changing templates and updating WP. What solved it was once again absurdly simple: The links to “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” under General Settings needed to be changed to “https” — note the “s”. It did not transfer with the update or template change. So if you have things set up with secure SSL certificates, be sure to check that first before trying all the more complicated fixes offered out there (as usual!).

Aaargh! The problem appeared again, and this time changing PHP version did nothing for it. After reading the last post on this subject, I checked my URL and it was fine, however, I was using a child template for my theme. I enabled the main theme and I got the grid view back. Obviously the child theme had something in it that interferred.

Can’t wait until it happens again…
