  • I am trying to upload images into the media library but it is just displaying them as a question mark.

It is only recently it has started to do this.

I have tried changing the FTP permissions (755, 744 and 644)
I have increased the upload size to 64MB
I have installed the ‘add from server’ plug in, uploads to FTP fine but then still have the question mark after I select import.

All out of ideas at my end – really hope someone can help

    Thanks in advance!

  • I’m not sure, but does your current theme’s ‘functions.php’ has a closing php tag? If so, remove it. It helped me once.

It already didn’t have the closing tag :/

Thank you for your suggestion though 🙂

Okay, then I would need more data.
Did you try to take a look at logs of your webserver?

Where would I find that and what would I be looking for?

If we’re talking about website that is specified in your profile, you’re using Apache and its logs are usually in /var/log/http2/ or /var/log/apache2, something like that. You would need to open it in tail and then try uploading a file and see what appears in tail
I’m sorry but it’s hard to help you without logs, it’s more like guessing now.

    Think I have found them

    Put them Here

No, you need not access log, but error log

That is the only log I seem to be able to find :/
