I see now that it did not uploaded to the subdomain but created a new directory uploads in the root of the normal site. but uses in wordpress the (correct) subdomain url.

    So it uploads to http://www.sitename.nl/uploads
    instead of cdn.sitename.nl/uploads

Eventhough through out wordpress the correct cdn.sitename.nl is used.

It has probably something to do with the subdomain and not able to copy images outside the root directory.

The subdomain directory is outside the root of wordpress.
Is there a solution for this?

    Hello AukeJomm

By default WordPress does not handle multi-server.
This plug-in is used to parallelize spots download pointing a subdomain to the same server subdomains, so you keep precious seconds to download parallelizing two areas.

If your cdn.sitename.nl is on another server, WordPress will not default upload images to it.

To do this you must apply a hook loading.

    Hi RVOLA,

Thanks voor your reply, missed the notification of your answer.
The subdomain is on the same server but with this server the subdomain directory is outside the root folder of the server.

I thought that would be the problem. i guess that's the same as having a different server as subdomain.

Thanks for your answer. Will look in the solution mentioned by you.

    Auke.

    Hi @spade5702,
I have not tried this plugin.
I mainly use WP Original Media Path to power a sub-domain pointing to my installation and parallelize the image downloads in the browser.

I'll try to look at other solutions for sending file out WordPress Installation
