images not showing when using img page for theme

    hi,
    i am creating a child theme and using <img src=””> tag to link to the file.the url is set right as the editor pointed to the right dir. but in firefox it doesn’t show. when i load the link in firebug, it says that failed to load url.is there something i am missing

    Please provide a link so we can see the problem. Without it not much we can do.

    I found out from google that i had to use <img src=”<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>, not sure why. but it worked.WP does have strange code
