• Hi all

Firstly just to introduce myself, I’m 34 father of 2 plus another on the way, I run training provider for Electrician Courses in Cambridge UK. I’m a bit of a novice at WordPress, but I’m enjoying learning through youtube and forums like this one.

Yesterday evening I uploaded and activated a plugin called Zencache, then this morning I had a look at my website and my images on the homepage slider were replaced with a little white X in a black box. I made a brand new slide with a newly uploaded image, to see if there were problems with the old images etc but this still happened. I’ve deactivated all plugins, cleared my web browser history, checked on Google Chrome, Safari and the same thing is happening. I’m using the Wootheme called Biznizz.

I’m been searching all day on google and nothing seems to match my issue, I tried a load of other solutions relating to other themes, I’ve searched this forum and haven’t managed to find a similar post.

All plugins, themes and wordpress is up to date

Does anyone think they can have a look at my home page and give me any new suggestions? http://www.electricalcoursesuk.co.uk

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,

It looks like the slider is trying to load the media files from the wrong folder:

E.G. It’s trying to load this:

    http://www.electricalcoursesuk.co.uk/wp-content/themes/biznizz/functions/thumb.php?src=wp-content/uploads/2013/06/wired2.png&w=520&h=0&zc=1&q=90

Which is totally wrong – it should be loading this:

    http://www.electricalcoursesuk.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/wired2.png

Check if you can upload a new image and enter into a test page/post.

If you can upload an image to a post/page – it’s wooslider that’s the problem.

In that case – delete Wooslider and get a good slider (Woo generally are a bit rubbish). Pay for Slider revolution from Themeforrest. $15 or something – it’s the best slider out there. Also delete Zencache and use W3 Total Cache (free).

If you can’t upload new images to a post/page – and see a cross again – get a developer to debug.

Hi thanks for the reply, its really appreciated.

I have managed to upload a new image to a new page and a post with no problems.

With regards to the Wooslider I don’t have that specific plugin I “think” its part of the Biznizz Theme. If I by a new Slider will it just over ride the Wooslider or is there another way to get rid of the Wooslider?

I have just remembered that I can disable the slider in the biznizz settings, so i’ll try that.

    Hi Liquid

I tried disabling the Slider and the problem is it takes a huge section of the page with it, so when I put a new slider in, the new slider doesn’t sit in the same place and only covers roughly a third of the left hand side of the page, with the right hand side being used up by my twitter feed, so it looks quite poor.

    Hi,

Send the theme author an email in their support forum. Looks to me like there is an error somewhere in the PHP which is causing that. They should fix it.

    Will do thanks Liquid
