When adding images to a post using the default Gutenberg editor. The slide only shows a small white placeholder.
When using the Classic editor all works fine.

I noticed in the CSS (Chrome F12 debugging) that the image height is being set to 0 when using the Gutenberg editor.

Can’t provide a link because of airgapped environment.

    Hoi @watskebart,

That shouldn’t happen of course 🙂 I have tested with Gutenberg content and didn’t find any problems myself. So any help reproducing this problem is appreciated!

Could you send me a screenshot of what the problematic slide looks like, and also a screenshot of the Chrome debugging window? What WordPress version, what theme and what plugins are you using? Could you try and see what happens with the twentynineteen or twentytwenty theme enabled instead of your chosen theme and with all plugins deactivated? Let me know what you find and we’ll go from there.

    Best,
    Menno

I settled with using the Classic editor.

Hi @watskebart, thanks for the screenshots! Have you found what CSS rule makes that the figure element has 0 height? And where is that CSS coming from (e.g. is it located in a WordPress core CSS file, or in a plugin CSS file, or a theme CSS file)? This info should be visible in the F12 developer tools. Would be interesting to know. If this is very common (e.g. WordPress core), I can maybe fix it in Foyer.

You could also try and see what happens with the twentynineteen or twentytwenty theme enabled instead of your chosen theme and with all plugins deactivated. This will tell me if it is a theme or plugin that is causing the image not to appear, or something more general.

    Groeten!

I have same problem. I installed a new WordPress and Foyer only. In my case, it is same result both of editors

    WP: 5.3.2
    Theme: twenty-twenty

Hi @watskebart and @songmk, I’ve been able to reproduce this and will fix it in the upcoming bug fixes release of Foyer.

    Thanks for reporting!
