Images not showing anymore

    Suddenly I discovered the images are not showing anymore for my woocommerce products. Storefront theme same thing. Latest version of WordPress and Woo. Created a staging environment and disabled all other plugins, deleted cash. No change. After some troubleshooting I discovered when I edit a product that the main image is blank showing not set, gallery images are still set. So I go select a new main image and save. Now the images for this product are showing up again. But all others still not. I can not possibly go edit every single product to fix this. Regenerate thumbnails did nothing ether. Any idea how I can resolve this?

    I managed to resolve this by exporting all products, then importing them back and check marked update existing products. Now my main images are set again. How did this happen? Still scratching my head.

    When you first noticed the images were missing, had anything changed recently with the site? Or did it just occur randomly?

    If any file permissions on your web server changed, that could have effected the existing images possibly. Some web hosts may change permissions settings behind the scenes and you might not realize it.

    Not aware of any changes other than the regular wordpress, woocommerce and plugin updates. I have it automated, so not sure what actually broke it. Involved the webhost and they did not find any issues that could have caused it but suggested to post here. But as reported I found the way to get them back with export/import.
