[resolved] Images not showing (4 posts)

I am having a terrible time with images.
First of all let me explain how I have my sites set up. I have many websites within the one main website, these are set up at bluehost on a shared server. the main website is http://www.thecakedirectory.com and then there are subfolders within this (not sub domains). They are as follows

I originally set up the Australia site and have now cloned it to all the other sites, so far all is working well except for uploading images in a new or existing listing, or if I try to change the selected display image in an existing listing.
Originally the thumbnails were not showing but I rectified this myself by re saving the permalink as you stated in your video. I have also checked to see if the folder of the uploads are read write access and they appear to be correct set to 755. I also tried changing my loading path in settings/media to the default path but it did not fix it.

You will be able to see the actual problem if you go to http://www.thecakedirectory.com/NewZealand/submit/ and select the free option, if you scroll down to section 4 to select a file, you will see that it uploads however the image does not appear.

The original Australia site works fine, however all the other sites that have been cloned do not.

Can you PLEASE please help me as this is a complete show stopper for me.

    Kind regards

Since I have not heard back from anyone :-( very disappointed I asked this same question of the Premium Press theme support who were fantastic to provide a fix for me for my theme Directory Press.

Go to Directory Listings/General/Image and delete all the links and paths on the image paths fields. Then hit save button. Then it will update the current path of the theme now then hit the save button again. These settings will override any file path storage that you have set in Settings/Media.

    Hope this helps.

What worked for me was going into settings>media and the field where it says "Store uploads in this folder", i went ahead and emptied everything that was in the box. Everything worked after that and the site ran very fast afterwards.
