Apologies for not adding this in the original post:
All yesterday my entire site across the board was showing 502 and 504 errors. Couldn’t even log into the admin side of things. Without a fix after 12 hours I was forced to create a new instance on AWS (where site is hosted) and duplicate the old one over more or less.
The database remained the same. The URLs of the images remained the same, but now, when I throw most of the image URLs from the media library in my browser, I’m getting 404 errors.

do you have a backup of the site from before the errors started so you can compare?
install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme
might help narrow down the source of the issue

I’m sure a backup exists somewhere. Not sure where though, or how recent.

Great job!

I have tried a zillion things. Still no luck. I have ZERO idea why images I’m uploading to Media Library are on and off resulting in 404 errors. I have to refresh page/article a few times before I can see it, then next refresh I can’t, then next one I can.
My staff of 20+ writers rely HEAVILY on images in their content and this is crippling us. PLEASE HELP.
I’ve tried the Media Library Assistant plugin, heck I’ve tried a good handful of media library help plugins. I just do not get it.
