# Images not sharp

 * I have pictures that are good and sharp on my photo edit software, and on shutterfly,
   but when I put them in a post they become very fuzzy and look bad.
    What is going
   wrong? Is there a service that will allow access from my page to a quality viewer?

 * WordPress applies some compression to the images when it generates the smaller

 * Plugins like [https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-jpeg-compression/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-jpeg-compression/)
   and [https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-jpeg-quality/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-jpeg-quality/)
   can disable that, alternatively [https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/)
   can allow you to to further tweak the compression.
