Images not sharing correctly

    I am having trouble when sharing my articles to facebook. An image that is not associated with that specific article is showing up, and other times no image appears at all. One of the images that continues to show up has been deleted off my images file but continues to show as the image when sharing. I’ve checked my plugins and I don’t see any other graphic type plugins that may be clashing. This issue began after I changed my domain name.

    Hi karenjr,

    Try this plugin to fix your problem:

    I’ve used it on several sites and it works as intended.

    The old images that still showing (even after you delete the original file) is probably caused by Facebook Open Graph cache.

    Installing the above plugin and use a new image should probably clear the problem.

    kerenjr the problem with the image is caused by the facebook cache.
    Delete the cache from here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    First press debug to see how facebook sees your site. After that you can press the “Fetch new scrape information” button to force it read your page again.

    Thank you so much.. I added that plugin and activated it. Is there anything in the settings I need to do now?

    As far as i remember, it should work as is.

    Try to share one of your post which has a featured image and check if it’s working.

    Don’t forget, if it’s not working yet or still has the old image, please follow the guide from Nevma above.
