Images not loading for public, but work for logged in accounts

  • Hi all,

Having a problem with our website, and figured I would check here before digging around too much. The images from our site are only loading when logged in to an account (I’m assuming all accounts are working, but things look as they should when logged in as administrator); in other words, the general public is getting ‘text only’ from our website. This is obviously a new development.

I’ve reset the caches and repaired all of the databases. No joy. There haven’t been any major (or minor) changes to WP or the backend, and we haven’t been hacked, etc. I’m guessing this is some sort of permissions problem, but I’m unsure exactly where to look. Any ideas?

Running WP 3.4.2, and all plugins are up to date.

    Thanks!

  • I’d start by deactivating all caching plugins, and anything else necessary to disable all caching. Many caching plugins handle logged-in Admins differently than visitors who are not logged in.

If you need further help, please provide a link to your site.
