Images not displaying properly (13 posts)

On the front page of my blog the images display perfectly. If I click a link, either category or archive, or use the search box, the image does not display and there is no holding box to show that there should be an image.

I have tried changing the path to an absolute path but it makes no difference, and anyway, if the path was the problem, I would get an empty image box.

Can anyone help? I'm using Dian Ardiyansah's 'akdian' template and I haven't changed any php code. Only the css style sheet.

I saw another post about the same problem but the answer did not solve the problem.

The archive pages use the_excerpt instead of the_content, and the excerpt doesn't show images, links etc. That's how it should be.

As you'll see there is an image in the post but if you click on the archive or category link or use search the image will not display.

  6. Please refer to Moshu's post above.

That's what I said: it is the default regular behaviour for the archives :)

OK but what about categories and search? I understand from another post that 'previous pages' acts the same way.

Is it possible to change the default behaviour? As I run a Photography site, the pictures are essential to the post.

  9. You have to edit the other templates in exactly the same way. IOW, edit the category and search templates exactly the same way as you updated the archives template.

I haven't updated the 'archives' template yet.

Catgeories, search, monthly archives etc. ALL are displayed on the archive.php.
The "previous pages" link from the index.php does not act like this.
The "previous pages" link from an archive page act the same way, i.e displaying only the excerpt.

Edit your archive.php file: replace the_excerpt with the_content in the Loop.
