Just to clarify, it’s images that I have inserted onto each page that are not appearing. Images set as backgrounds are appearing on each page.
AsyncJS can work with AO, but do make sure you don’t let AsyncJS async (or defer) jQuery, because you have inline JS that requires jQuery to be available early. Did you get any JS error on the browser console when AsyncJS was active?
No error appeared mate.
So to get the images back, do I need to change the settings so the JQuery is not touched?
not sure if/ how it would affect the images, but I do see that your HTML has inline JS that requires jQuery, so asyncing (or even more deferring) jQuery would break that piece of inline JS.
Ah ok. So any idea on how to get the images back? Other than restore from backup?

errrr … I checked your website earlier today and again now and I don’t see any missing images. this is what I currently see;
Moreover if you disabled AsyncJS (which I thought you did?), then it can’t impact anything any more (unless you have a stubborn page cache, in which case you’d just need to purge that).
Hi mate. You’re seeing my site after I restored from backup. Hence the images appearing. I just tried downloading and activating your plug in again, ensuring JQuery wasn’t synced or deferred. Same problem. So I have restored again from backup. Looks like something in my site is conflicting with your plugin. Damn.
bizarre … would you happen to have a non-production environment where I could see what happens when it’s broken?
