Support » Localhost Installs » Images missing from Themes on a local install

  • Hi Friends,

Would appreciate some direction with this strange issue.
I am kinda a newbie to WordPress, so I decided to do a local instal of the latest wordpress onto Xampp.

All went very smooth, until I tried to view the images on the Theme.Although all the text for the Theme was visiable, none of the images are viewable.

    Anyone with suggestions or guidance.

PS. I must state that one Theme that I have tested does show thw images, but I am not going to use it.The theme is called Alexandria by ThemeAlley.com

    Thanx very much
    Brad

How are you loading the images? Does it work with any other themes? Have you tried deactivating all plugins?

Hi Jose, I sent a reply earlier in the week but dont know where it is.
Any way, all I have done was install Xampp and then WordPress. The default theme and any other theme I try does not have any images display.
I have not tried installing any images, the images in the Themes just wont show.
I tried a few other Themes and the same happens. All that is shown is the text.I dont have any plugins installed besides the 2 default plugins. They are Akismet and Hello Dolly. These are both deactivated.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanx
    Brad
