Support » Fixing WordPress » Images missing from Frontpage after WordPress 4.3.3 upgrade

  • I am a computer professional, but not fluent with WordPress.
    After an automatic upgrade to WordPress 4.3.3 (see email below), images from our front page disappeared. We are using the Unite theme. Two questions:
    1. What steps can I take to get the images back?
    2. Is it safe to restore a backup of the site taken last August and will this return to the prior version of WordPress?
    Thanks

    Howdy! Your site at http://www.timothywheelerhouse.com has been updated automatically to WordPress 4.3.3.

    There’s a javascript error on your site that, I suspect, is what broke your front page slider.

    Uncaught ReferenceError: $j is not defined

    When I view the source for your page, it’s a line 95 and seems to be related to your theme. See if there’s an update for it. Check here: http://themedump.com

    // edit

    hmmm… I get an error at that URL, so check where ever you bought/downloaded the theme.
