Images into slideshow, or lightbox, or gallery. I don’t know what to call it!

Apologies, I’m a little confused by the terminology, here. I know this exists but don’t know how to describe or search for it successfully.

I’d like to be able to have some images in the copy of a post and then, when a user clicks on one of them, have that image offered up, enlarged, in a kinda lightbox/slideshow/carousel thing. So the other images on the page are also now in the slideshow/carousel/lightbox thing, as thumbnails.

Like on this page. Only, a bit more responsive, if poss’.
