Images in post snippets

Hiya, I have seen a really cool feature on a premium template but don’t understand how it’s done, is it a plugin a bespoke piece of code or all of the above.

Take a look it’s the side bar post snippets on the right hand side of this theme http://www.revolutiontwo.com/demo/charred/ where they have a little thumbnail adding to the post headline – it looks superb.

In addition they are using the thumbnail in the main page again to help describe the post content but when you read the post the image isn’t used.

Does anyone know how it’s done??

thanks for your help samboll, I have already done that but obviously don’t understand code well enough to work it out – some of us aren’t quite as talented as other in the world of code.

    So just thought I’d ask.
