Images embedded on theme not “lazy-loading”

Hi, the plug-in works well if image is in the post. However, there is no effect on images that are part of the theme. Is there any work-around for this?

I seem to have a similar problem, so I hope it’s ok posting in here and not starting a new thread.
Posts made with Divi builder do not lazy load images, all other posts do.
We are thinking of building all new posts going forward with the Divi builder, so it would be nice if images therein could lazy load. Unless I’m missing something.
