Hi @frano09, could you link me to the slideshow malfunctioning on your site? I’ll take a quick look for you.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in replying. The v2.0 update has just been released so feel free to give that a try to see if it helps improve things. It may take a few moments for the update to be available in your WordPress admin area.

@frano09, just had a look at your email. Try what I’ve mentioned above. If you’re still having problems we can take it from there πŸ™‚

I can confirm this issue exists for me as well. Was looking forward to using it too. Was fine on Easing Slider though so not sure what gives. I’ll fiddle around in the meantime.

edit: seems to work on a blank slate wp site. Must be a conflict on my end.

I’ve managed to work out the problem (at least on my end).

When I upgraded from Easing Slider to Riva Slider Lite, my current slide images remained. So I deleted them from the Riva Slider options and proceeded to add new images to the slider and start fresh. It’s at this point that it broke.

    What I noticed in the Firebug console was that Riva Slider was STILL requesting the old Easing Slider images even though I’d supposedly removed them from the image list. I did the following to fix it;

    1. Remove Riva Slider Lite, re-install the old Easing Slider.
    2. Remove all the image URLs from the image list in the Easing Slider options.
    3. Save settings.
    4. Remove Easing Slider, install Riva Slider Lite fresh. (or just upgrade)

Problem is resolved. So my advice is to remove all slider images before upgrading.

I have an issue and I guess your solution could work for me, but unfortunately I do not have original easing slider downloaded πŸ™ I wish I did not update the plugin at first place.

My slider now shows only 3/4th of the image. I tried everything possible to remove/deactivate/reinstall plugin, remove and restart from the scratch of slider, but nothing helps so far. Any help is much appreciated.

The same issue just happened to me as well after upgrading, and my banner just went blank with an loading icon in the middle. I deactivated Riva Slider Lite, rolled back my plugin files from the latest backup, activated Easing Slider, and all is well now. I’m going to leave it on Easing Slider for the time being while this issue gets worked out.

The update messed up my slideshow images on my website as well!

I tried doing what you did chrisahansen, but I don’t know what you mean by “rolled back” your plugin files. How did you do that? Where did you find that file? Was it something you saved in the past? If so, I think I’m out of luck with getting my site back to normal.

The big circular image is back! Ah! Does anyone know how I can get rid of this?

The website with the issue is http://wgtcassh.com

I would recommend you make an occasional backup for these sort of scenarios. Here’s the copy I had saved. You’ll have to delete Riva Slider, then copy this into your directory, yadda yadda. In hindsight it should’ve been a .zip, alas.

    -removed link-

vlad90, once this is saved to my desktop, I will then upload it to plugins again? And everything should be back to normal?

That’s how it was for me. Let me know how you go.

And also, vlad90. I’m not an extremely technical genius so I have another question. The mediafire file was saved to my computer as a .rar file. Will I be able to upload it to the plugins section of admin or must I save it as something else? Help!!!

Knew I shouldn’t have made a .rar. My bad. Have a .zip. Uninstall Riva Slider first.

edit: And yes, should be able to install from admin plugin page.
