    Hi,

I'm not sure if it's because I deactivated one of the plugins that controls this function, (and if that's the reason, then which one was it?) but my image formatting is showing up as text on top or beneath the images. It's also not universal, so I really don't know where to begin to troubleshoot this. WOuld really appreciate some help. Thanks very much,

    Helene

Unless you provide a link to your site, no one will be able to offer much in the way of specific help.

Ok, the problem seems to happen ONLY when I have a caption.

Sorry, usually my gravatar and username show up as a link to my site on this help site. I'm logged in, and don't know why it isn't doing that now. Sorry, here's my website address:

Many people run 2 or more sites, so it's not always safe to assume that the site they're taking about is the one that's linked to their profile.

Can you post a link to a page demonstrating this caption/image problem?

I understand, I'll make sure to include it next time. Thanks.
You can see the problem on my home page. Just scroll down and you'll see that where my images have captions, they show up as code text above and below the image.

Ah, I've contacted the developer of The Scientist plugin that I think is causing the problem. He wrote back now and said he needs to update his plugin for WP 2.9.2, so that shold hopefully fix things.

OK, it seems that The Scientist plugin may or may not be upgraded in the near future, and I'm not sure if it would fix my problem in any case. I currently have the plugin deactivated.

My problem now is that I'm not sure how to fix the display errors in all my pages and posts without tediously going into every single page and post, deleting the images and re-inserting them.

Does anyone have any recommendations for somehow handling the problem globally thoughout my entire site? Here's the address again:

Any assistance will be really appreciated.

To be more specific so you can see what the problem is, here's a page from my site:

    http://25reasons.net/my-finished-quilts/french-provincial-circle-quilt/

It all looks good when I go into edit the page, but on the public site, it's all messed up.

Here's the code that got generated when I inserted the first image on the above page:

    [caption id="attachment_2041" align="aligncenter" width="600" caption="French Provincial Circle Quilt"]<img class="size-medium wp-image-2041 " title="French Provincial Circle Quilt" src="http://25reasons.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/FPCQ-Custom-600x600.jpg" alt="French Provincial Circle Quilt" width="600" height="600" />[/caption]

    Hopefully that helps.

I'm having the SAME bug on lifeafterhighschool.info/p/about

I don't have the scientist plug in. My captions were working fine, and the only plug in I may have added was Sociable. I tried deactivating that, but they are still messed up.

I would really like a solution. My site is still in development, and so I haven't done anything to change the theme in the files etc.
