• I have been having this issue for several weeks and cannot fix it.

    When I go to put a photo in a post (through the normal photo importer in the normal post editor), the photo seems to import fine. When the photo has uploaded, I get a broken image. I can click to edit the image and see my image there. The thumbnail appears broken as well. When I publish the post, the image still appears broken. I recently published a test to see what my readers see.

    So far, I have:

    * disabled all plugins
    * reverted to twenty ten theme
    * deleted plugins that were new since the problem started
    * upgraded my browser

    I am currently adding images by hosting in photobucket and using html. I want to keep my site loading quickly, so I would love to be able to just load images again.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • Are you sure the issue is your Theme?

    If you revert to the TwentyTen Theme, and upload an image, does it display properly, or is it also broken?

    When I revert to twenty ten, the image is still broken. I don’t have this issue on two other blogs/websites I am running – one of them uses pagelines free as well (though not the most recent update). All three have different hosting, though my husband has no issues with his site through the same host as the problem blog.

    clear as mud, eh?

    Thanks!

    Okay, so if you’re using TwentyTen, and you upload an image while using TwentyTen, then the image is broken?

    If so, then the issue isn’t with your Theme. Check your media settings, to make sure your upload path (and also, file permissions) are all correct.
