Can you provide a URL showing a post with an image and then a URL to another post that has a duplicated image?
WPRanger,
Thank you for the quick response.
If you look at the February version in the online newsletter versus the October version you can see that the images that are in both have different names. I did not change these names. I copy and pasted the code as I always have and it changed the names automatically.

Sorry it dropped the second page link from above.
Our goal is to reduce the number of images in our site and if all my newsletters have duplicate the images instead of reusing the same image name, that could explain why our image totals are so high.

Which images in particular on those two pages are duplicated?
It appears to me that you are uploading the same image more than once to have it sit at the top of your posts. If that’s the case, you don’t need to do that. You can re-use the same image from a previous post or page but it’s probably a better idea to show the image by way of the featured image capability or a use dedicated template for your newsletter posts.
For example the header. The url was changed even though I did NOT manually change it. It is the same header in each newsletter. I copy and paste the code each month, then wordpress changes the url on the images when I hit enter. I am using the same url but it is being automatically changed???
I will have to look into create a template it sounds like.
Not sure how to most effectively clean up all the images without manually changing each one and then deleting the extras since they all have different file names.
