  • I don’t know of any plugin that does that (which doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist…)
    There is a plugin for the next/prev POST which is used in the single post view:
    http://guff.szub.net/2005/01/18/next-previous-post-img/

    I found this example on that codex page:
    <?php posts_nav_link(' ', '<img src="images/prev.jpg" />', '<img src="images/next.jpg" />'); ?>

    Maybe I misunderstood you, or you’re a bit too fast on the scroll wheel. 🙂

    <div class=”alignleft”><?php next_posts_link(‘<img src=”http://www.your image.jpg” alt=”Previous Page”/>’) ?></div>
    <div class=”alignright”><?php previous_posts_link(‘<img src=”http://www.yourimage.jpg” alt=”Next Page”/>’) ?></div>

    This is what my navigation code looks like as I use images for some of my buttons
