I am currently trying to set up a new blog for my site privately, but when I upload it, a lot of things are okay, but the images i upload come out scrambled, and just totally ruined. I’m not sure why..

  • It might help if you defined what you mean by “scrambled” and “totally ruined”.

How else should I put it, massive black area, so like 3 quarters of the image is ruined, the rest is irregular. Not sure how else you want me to define botched and ruined. The main point is that they seem to get tarnished after i upload them, not how they actually appear. Anyway, i think it might have something to do with my filezilla settings, I’m reading something else. Any ideas are welcome, i will let you know if I sort it out.

It’s definitely the uploader that’s causing the damage. If you’re using an FTP client, try another one. If you’re using WordPress’ built-in uploader, ask your hosting provider if GD Library is functioning properly on your server.

I got it sorted out I had to switch the mode. You are right it was the uploader. Sorry for the hassle.
