  • How can you tell where images are being used across your site? I have many images that use in multiple posts, but the media gallery appears to want to show only one location. Where can I see all the possible locations of an image?

  • By default you don’t have this option, there are different ways throw wich themes include images so it’s hard to determin how many times and where an image is displayed, also there are a lot of dinamicaly created places like carusels and other things that also uses images.
What are you trying to achieve? what exactly are you trying to count? the time an image is used in posts? or as a post child? this would be a simple query if this is the only thing you want…

What I’m trying to do is clean up my media library, and I’m needing to know when it’s safe to delete an image from the library. Some images are being replaced, while others are being removed altogether. But I need to know where the instances are so there isn’t the obvious blank space where an image should be.
