Hi Sanjay,
The plugin supports whatever fields the RSS feed returns. This plugin gives you the ease of pulling information out of feeds and displaying them in the way you need. What you do with that information is up to you.
In other words, provided the RSS feed returns the URL to the image or the image tag, then you can manipulate the output to handle that.
If you have any issues, feel free to post it here and I’ll give you a hand getting it to do what you want. If it doesn’t, I’ll do my best to modify the plugin to help.
Thanks
Ash, Thanks for your kind words and prompt reply. I am utilizing your plugin for fetching RSS feed(with images). Feed results are coming out ok but no images. Pl. check http://www.datasmile.com/?page_id=81. I think there may be some shortcode or any other value/ parameter which I may be missing. Pl. suggest.
Thanks,
SanjayAsh, Images are ok now but pagination is not functioning. Pl. suggest.
Thanks
Hey Sanjay,
The pagination is working, you can see the next page link at the bottom of the page. What isn’t working is the link with your current URL structure. The ?rsskppage=# is overwriting your ?pade_id=81. It “should” be http://www.datasmile.com/?page_id=81&rsskppage=3
So you plan on keeping this type of URL structure? If not and your going to move to pretty permalinks then this isn’t a problem and will work as expected.
For the plugin however, it is something I will need to look at fixing.
Hey Sanjay,
Update to version 1.0.5 which has the modification to the URL for it to work with your existing URL structure.
Let me know how you go.
Ash, Thanks for this version updation. Its working now π . One more thing I want to ask you reg. pagination. Right now it shows up like Previous and Next. Is it possible to do pagination as Page 1 2 3 4 5 (till the last page of RSS feed result)?
Thanks,
Hey Sanjay,
Funny you mention that. As I was making the change for version 1.0.5, I thought the same thing. I had to start work though so didn’t have time to implement that at the time. Version 1.0.6 however has what you need π
Two new shortcode options: pagingtype and activeclass
eg
[rsskingpro feedaddress="http://kingpro.me/articles/feed/" pagingtype="both" activeclass="active_page"]
The paging types are “paging” (default), “numbers”, “both”.
activeclass and be whatever you like.Enjoy π
π Yeah! It’s working too. I hope it’s showing all the results of particular RSS feed. This is really great! Can this pagination be on the right top of results so that user can click on different page without scrolling to bottom?
Hey Sanjay,
I love how you sound so surprised that the functionality is working. Thats awesome π
Sure, I can add another shortcode option for pagination location. “top”, “bottom”, “both”.
Is there any other functionality that you can think of before I release another version?
Ash, When I tried to shorten the description length(numeric value) of content, the whole feed gets distorted. The description format is ok when its length is bydefault(full). One more thing, there are “οΏ½οΏ½” characters at the end of every description. Pl. check http://www.datasmile.com/?page_id=81.
Thanks,
Sanjay,
Are you able to provide me with the feed your using so I can test some things at this end? Too hard just looking at your output when I don’t know how your setting things up.
Thanks
Ash, You can check that via “View Source” of that page or send me your mail id, I will mail you. I cant post it here.
Thanks,
Please send it to the email stated in the RSS King Pro admin area.
Sir i facing the difficulties i want to show my external images from rss but just showing post and text not showing images please please help me..
Hi Lukmanplz, Your RSS feed has images but they are not visible. Can you post the url where RSS feed is being used or RSS feed code you are using?
I will try to look into it.
