 * Hi RavanH,
 * Firstly it’s great to see such a well supported plugin with an active developer
   offering support. Hopefully what I want to achieve is within the ability of easy-
   fancybox and if so I’ll be purchasing the multi-site licence asap to save myself
   future headaches!
 * I read a similar post about my issue here [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/updated-fancybox-not-working-with-updated-nextgen-gallery?replies=17](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/updated-fancybox-not-working-with-updated-nextgen-gallery?replies=17)
 * My query relates to cross compatibility with the Imagemapper plugin. If there’s
   a better way to create Imagemaps in WordPress then please let me know and I’ll
   gladly follow them.
 * Basically, my imagemaps are of floorplans of a property. Each room is an area
   of the imagemap and I wish for an image of the room to pop up in a fancybox when
   clicked. At the moment, the best I’ve been able to manage is for the image to
   open in the browser without the effect, taking the user away from the page.
 * I’ve edited the plugin code and checked the site and it’s outputting
 * `<area class="fancybox" data-type="link" data-tooltip="" data-fill-color="fefefe"
   data-fill-opacity="0.3" data-stroke-color="fefefe" data-stroke-opacity="0.8"
   data-stroke-width="2" data-mapkey="area-396" shape="poly" coords="46,137,141,76,170,104,71,174"
   href="http://path/image.jpg" title="">`
 * however when I click on the imagemap in the browser, the spinning wheel of Fancybox
   appears briefly before the page vanishes and the browser just opens the image
   in an empty window.
 * Again, I can’t expect a developer to check compatibility with all plugins so
   if recommend an image map process that works with EasyFancybox then that would
   be ok 🙂
 * Thanks again!

 * Hi Andrew,
 * Easy FancyBox should work on image maps (when linking to other images!) automatically
   with the default settings.
 * I’m not familiar with Imagemapper but even without adding `class="fancybox"`
   in the Imagemapper plugin code, in theory it should work. Unless Imagemapper
   does something that I’m not aware of.
 * Otherwise, it is more likely an incompatibiltiy with your theme or another plugin.
   Can you share a link to your site where I can see the issue live?
 * Cheers,
    Rolf
