I have found that when migrating a website that has be designed in a Divi Theme that the images are stripped from pages – the images are have been exported and in media library. I would appreciate your thoughts on this as I see this as a great migration plugin.

    Hello Geoffrey,
Thanks for using Prime Mover plugin 🙂 I think you need to clear the cache of any page builder plugin you are using. For example, this is how your clear the cache in Elementor. If you are using Beaver Builder, this is the procedure.

In Divi, there are also several ways you can clear the cache after migration. These are a few tips:

If you are using any other page builder tools, please check also their documentation on how to clear cache. Clearing cache ensures that the resources (images, css, etc.) after migration will point to the current restored site (not to the original site).

If the issue persists, please send us a bug ticket by logging into Prime Mover -> Contact Us => select “Bug” as the type of report and then please enter all the details needed for us to troubleshoot this issue in your site.

Thanks and let me know how it goes. Cheers.

Hi, thanks for the quick response, very much appreciated. I have cleared all the caches I know of
    – Divi Static CSS File Cache
    – Cache Plugin ( Autoptimize)
    – Cloudflare/CDN Cache ( Use Cloudflare APO )
    – Browser Cache

Just one question do I need to clear the following cache before exporting website :

    – Divi Static CSS File Cache
    – Cache Plugin

    Thanks Geoff

    Hi Geoff,
Thanks for the update. It is not necessary to clear the cache on exporting. Also if you think the cache is outdated at the origin site, you should clear first before exporting but this is not a requirement.

This is more important after restore/import since the cache folders will need to be re-generated at the target site for the resources to be updated.

Also take note that if your target site has some SSL issues this could also prevent the display of images due to browser mixed content issues. You could fix this by using Really Simple SSL plugin or checking if the SSL implementation is done right.

If you are still having the issue – please share the WPRIME package to us for troubleshooting, simply send us the link to download this package by contacting us or via Prime Mover -> Contact Us in the WordPress admin.

We would like to test restore this package in our test server and see if we could reproduce the issue of missing images. And then we could find out the real cause. Thanks again!

    Hi,
Thanks again, I will look into the mixed content issues as I am migrating from mydomain.com to stage.mydomain.com and both have their own Lets Encrypt SSL Certificate. Thanks for the heads up on the Really Simple SSL Plugin – I will definitely come back and let you know what I find.
So you are aware, the post images (featured images) were ok it was only the Divi Builder page images in their image modules.
    Cheers

Great support with this plugin, thanks for checking the WPrime package on your test servers. It seems that the file restored without issues – I have other sites to migrate, so I will check if I am still having any issue and get back to you.

Thanks again for a easy to use fantastic Free Plugin – I look forward to seeing your Lifetime/Unlimited Premium Licence price.
