Imagebrowser effect does not work on this particular theme

I noticed that when I use a theme called Architecture it can’t open that imagebrowser where the screen goes dark and the user can browser images. Instead it goes just opens the image in a new page.

I am not certain, but I am guessing it is caused by a javascript in the theme that blocks it. Does anyone have an idea how to fix that?

You can see an example here. The album is at the bottom, and each image opens a new page instead of opening the image on the same page, which it is supposed to. I know for sure that it is not caused by any plugins or settings. I have tested it on other themes where it works as it is supposed to.

I have the latest version installed
