    Hello all,

    page in question:

    I’m adding a banner to the top of every page to my website. I made the banner in Photoshop, imported it into WP and inserted it at the top of the page in the visual editor. There is no code around it in the ‘text’ editor, it’s just sitting at the top.

    But when I preview/publish, there is a huge gap above the image. You can see the gap I’m talking about on the website linked above — the gap is above the “PC Gaming News” banner.

    How can I remove the huge gap?

    I don’t understand why it puts a gap there? There is no gap in the visual editor!

    Yes, I am new to WP. My HTML skills are minimal, and CSS skills are non existent.

    Thanks for any information!

  • It looks like you have an Adsense plugin that’s taking up that spot. From your source code:

    <p><!-- Quick Adsense WordPress Plugin: --></p>
    <div style="float:right;margin:10px 0 10px 10px;">
    <script async src="//"></script><br />
    <!-- VGM ad 1 --><br />
    <ins class="adsbygoogle"<br />
         style=”display:inline-block;width:120px;height:240px”<br />
         data-ad-client=&xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx;<br />
         data-ad-slot=&xxxxxxxxxxxxx;></ins><br />
    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

    Variables removed.

    I did not even think of that, Lorax. I’ve been pulling my hair out over this one thing for hours… seriously. I’ve been to every corner of the web and the ‘alternate web’ for a solution… but nothing…. then you come along!

    Thank you kindly for your time and help! You rock!
