image url help

    I love the plugin but I was wondering what image hosting sites this supports?

    I tried facebook links, I’ve tried adding public images from flickr. I’ve tried pixoto. I’ve tried Iframe, nothing is working, can you please provide me with a list of sites the url will support so I can tell my visitors where they can host their images.

    I removed the upload image feature cause I dont want users uploading to my server, I’d rather tell them to host it on a public photo site and add url.

    ANy help would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hey there quinngoldwin,

    How are you doing today?

    Attaching images only works with uploading images to your server. You can use URL (adding links) to external services (I’ve tried dropbox and screencast) and activity will display image thumbnail and link to the image.

    As for Add Image URL button it works only if you add direct link to the image so services that give you endpoint links will not be displayed properly, I’ve tried more then 10 different services and the only one that worked (most of them will work if you copy image URL by right clicking on the opened image) was http://tinypic.com/ since it has raw image link which you can use http://screencast.com/t/YT83klOM.

    Thanks so much guys I did see that these image hosting sites work. I tried every major hosting site on the first 3 pages of google and these are the ones that work. Just letting the community know.
