 * i think i upgraded the blog to 2.9.2 using auto upgrade feature and now none 
   of my blogs are able to upload images
 * when using flash upload – gives http error
 * when using broswer upload – Unable to create directory /home/maverick/public_html/
   wp-content/uploads/2010/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
 * now my image files are set to 766 – so where does the problem lies!

 * chmod these folders to 777
    `/wp-content/uploads` do the upload chmod back to
   normal – should work from now on

 * surprisingly i cant find any folder called upload …in wp-content folder i can
   see plugins, themes, upgrade and index.php
 * inside my theme folder i can see image folder

 * then just chmod /wp-content to 777 and try it
