I know this topic has come up several times before, but I've searched all over google, as well as the forums here, and none of the solutions given so far have worked for me(or more likely I just didn't understand how to apply them correctly).
I recently installed wordpress on a webserver I have running at home with IIS, php5, and mysql5. Everything seems to be working fine so far except the image uploading. Whenever I try to upload images, i get the "he uploaded file could not be moved to..." error message.
I have done everything I know how to do to make sure the uploads directory (and wp-content) are writable by the server. I checked write access in the site settings configuration in IIS, I checked the permissions for the administrator account in windows (i'm running server 2k3), and i even tried setting the permissions on those folders using an ftp client as one source suggested. Is there a different user that IIS might be running as which I need to check permissions for? If so, can someone tell me how I find out what user it is running as?
The other solution some people mentoned was that my php.ini file might have safe-mode set to 'on', but that also isn't the case for me. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
