# Image upload HTTP error

 * Hi,
 * I have a problem uploading images. No matter how I try to upload a jpg, I get
   an error, either a 404 or and HTTP error. The image seems to upload to 89% then
   stalls. When I go to the image gallery, I can see the image, but if I set it 
   as a featured image it renders enormous. You can see this at the top of my blog
   roll, whereas the previous featured images are the correct size.

 * I have had this problem since I had 3.5.1, have now updated to 3.6 but this problem
   remains.
 * Please let me know how to resolve this problem.

 * Try checking your site’s error logs for messages. Your hosts should be able to
   help you in accessing your site’s error logs.

 * Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with **
   all** plugins deactivated?

   what happens to my site?

 * You can change themes via Appearance -> Themes. You can deactivate all plugin
   via the Plugins link on your main Admin menu.

 * Its layout and look will change temporarily. Your old theme & plugin settings
   are saved in your database and should be retained for future use.

 * I deactivated plugins and changed theme to 2013 but the problem persists.
 * If you have other solutions, a list would be helpful…so I can try them all and
   fix the problem as quickly as possible…I haven’t been able to post anything new
   for some weeks already.
