[resolved] Image upload? (10 posts)

I am having troubles with this plugin (aswell as any other TinyMCE plugins). I cannot find a way to let my users upload images. They can insert images from url, but not upload.

Is there a setting I am missing, or is this just not possible?

    Well.. there are two options.

    1. WP has a default media uploader. It is directly above the content editor on the left corner. It says "upload/insert". Clicking that should bring up your media manager.

    2. I included a button in my plugin which is called "Image Manager". It allows you to create directories, delete directories, organize your photos, and more. You can find the button in "Buttons Group 1" of the settings page.

Thank you for your quick reply!

I should have told you that I am using BBpress, so option one is not available. I found the "Image Manager", but I could not get it to work. It just keeps loading after I have uploaded something. I can't select the image to insert.

    Okay regarding number one.

With number two... this is a problem of server configuration. You will need to open the "ultimate-tinymce/images/connector/php/config.php" file in a code editor and edit the "site root" definition to match your server.

If you'd like, you can send me an email using my contact form, and I can do it for you.

Ok, so I changed the site root, but no success. I can make directories and upload images, but I cannot se what's in the directories and insert them. Sending you an email.

Ok... try replacing the entire "ultimate-tinymce/images/connector/php/Image_Toolbox.class.php" file with the one here:

Awesome! Thanks for letting us know.

I also responded to your email about allowing different users different access. Let's continue on that via emails... as it will take a little bit of time to implement (if we can).

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

Just installed the great UltimateEMC plugin.
As steilenhang above, I use bbPress on my site, and would like to allow users to upload images to the forum posts.
I checked the above, but it seems to be different than my setup. (mentioned links non existing).
    using WP 3.5.1 & Ultimate TinyMCE 4.0.7

Can you help me out with this?

    thanks,
    Val

    Hi Val,

Here's the lowdown. When I included that image manager addon... it uses a file called "swfupload.swf". WordPress deemed this file to be insecure.. and removed my plugin from the repo until I removed that file.

@steilenhang is using an old version of the plugin.. which he is unable to update since I can no longer use this file in my free version.
