Support » How-To and Troubleshooting » Image Sprites for navigation – one link vanished!
5 years, 8 months ago
My webpage is http://www.sneakymedia.co.uk, WordPress 3.1.
I’m building a web design site, mainly to practise some navigation techniques. I made an CSS image sprite naviation menu with passive, hover and active states.
It was all working great and all of a sudden one of the image links (yes, just one!) has disapeared and I have no idea why!
There should be a ‘Get a Quote’ image on the right of the nav menu, you can still click the link but the image isn’t there.
Any ideas?? Thanks
I just wanted to add that I’ve tried disabling all my plug-ins (because you never know!), no luck.
Hi! It looks like the CSS on that nav item still has a background URL of your local environment: http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/full-nav-all.png
I’m guessing you missed a line of CSS while porting everything over :]
Do a search and replace for http://localhost/wordpress/ to http://www.sneakymedia.co.uk/ in your CSS and you should be good to go.
No matter how much I looked through the Stylesheet I never would have picked up on that! Sometimes it just needs a fresh pair of eyes.
Thanks so much, saved me from wasting some serious hours.
Haha, no problem :] Try using Chrome inspector or Firebug to troubleshoot these things. Saves so much time!
