Image sort order lost during upgrade to 2.0.31

Upgraded from NGG 1.9.13 to 2.0.31
I have one gallery with 60 images. The images were sorting fine in filename order with v1.9.13, but now with 2.0.31 they are sorting in a random order. Each time a different image appears first during the slideshow and successive images appear in a random order. Captions also are not always displaying properly. One caption shows “&” in the caption. Other captions have ellipses in the middle of the caption in place of some of the letters. Captions were fine prior to upgrade.
When I go to the Sort Order page within the Gallery, presort is marked as “unsorted” and “ascending”. I click on “filename” and “ascending” to set the sort order and hit update, but the sort order keeps going back to “unsorted”.
Please let me know of any fix or workaround or if I should go back to 1.9.13. Thank you very much!
