# Image sizes – thumbnails

 * Mark,
 * Somehow all of my player gallery images have resized. Actually it looks like
   they are no longer using the square thumbnail that I created (1:1) and now the
   images in the gallery are pulling from my 2:3 ration picture. This was working
   properly yesterday. I didn’t change the images? What do you suppose happened?
   Doesn’t the gallery use the thumbnail?

 * Mark,
 * I greatly appreciate thee assistance that you have provided for free. It has
   been a huge help. I purchased your Gold plan today to support your efforts. Should
   I move this thread to the support forum on your site? I resized my thumbnails
   to have a 1:1 ratio so the 150px x 150 px would work. It was working fine until
   this morning, but now the player gallery is pulling the original image 2:3 ratio
   and squashing it to 150 x 150.

 * Cool. Thank you.
 * If it was working, and stopped working this morning, what changed? Computers
   tend to be pretty deterministic. As a general rule, things don’t change unless
   something is changed.
 * Are you talking about the thumbnails in the gallery looking good, the thumbnails
   in the single player pages looking good, or both? Did the both work, then stop?
 * Are you SURE you’re SURE that the images you are uploading as the player photos(
   thumbnails) are square ( preferably 150×150 )?? The plugin certainly doesn’t
   change anything from square. Is it possible that your CSS file changed?
 * Since you have such beautiful photos in the body of your single player pages,
   what you might do is replace the image at the top of the single player pages
   with the team logos. You can find more information on how to do that [on this man page](http://shoalsummitsolutions.com/tr-customizing/).
   Just a thought.

 * I uploaded the original images in a 2:3 ratio similar to the big picture that
   you see on the player profile. I edited the thumbnail to a 1:1 ratio so that
   it was size proportionately at 150×150 pixels. It was working properly yesterday.

   I deactivated plugins this morning to trouble shoot another issue. I noticed
   this afternoon that the displayed images in my player gallery are now a squashed
   2:3 image (notice logos on the bottom) rather than my edited 1:1 thumbnails.
   I tried to unattach the image and reload and edit the thumbnails to 1:1 again
   to no avail. It looks like the plugin is creating a thumbnail from my master
   image (2:3) rather than using the 1:1 thumbnail that I created.
 * If I change the top image to our team logo, will that be what is displayed in
   my player gallery? Those pics are now distorted too.

 * Ok, now I am getting completely confused. Too much is going on for my small brain.
 * When you say you editted the images, do you mean in the Media Library editor?
   I have never used that editor.
 * Why don’t you try this … Edit a photo on your computer with Photoshop, GIMP,
   whatever. Crop/scale it to 150×150 and save it as a PNG. Upload that file as
   a player’s photo. Let me know how that works.

 * Correct. I edited with the the crop function in WordPress and it was fine. What
   you suggested was going to be my next step. I load a square image separate from
   the big image that you saw on the player page.
 * I have also run in to two other issues:
    1. Sort by number doesn’t seem to working
   on the roster page. I’m using this shortcode: [mstw-tr-roster team=2016pilipaa15-
   1 roster_type=’custom’ show_photos=0 show_title=1 sort_order = ‘numeric’]
 * Here’s the page:

 * It looks like it sorting by last name.

 * Also,
 * Gallery layout is not lining up clean. It’s leaving space between player images.
   See email I sent you.

 * Please open separate threads for each issue – one for sort, one for gallery spacing.(
   Otherwise other users, me included, have no chance of ever finding anything.
 * Thanks.

 * So I take it the images are fixed?

 * I think the image issue on the player gallery may have had to do with the amount
   of text in one of the fields. I was able fix it by shortening the text. I’ll
   open another thread for the sort issue.
 * Thank you.

 * Okay. That could do it.
