Twenty Fourteen
Image sizes refuse to change (6 posts)

I did a lot of changes in this theme, because I wanted larger images and not the 474 width which are the major size.

But every time I upload and attach new images to a new post — 9 out of 10 images gets the "width="474"-tag automatically. Getting tired of wasting time removing these.

I've checked everything from css and the controlpanel — this seems to be a bug.

Do not edit the Twenty Fourteen theme. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

Ok, well I have a childtheme for TwentyEleven but I couldn't manage it to make a new one under Twenty Fourteen.
I will give it a try soon.

You can download a pre-made Twenty Fourteen child theme from here.

    Hello again!

So, I still experience this problem. I've gone through all files in both theme and childtheme, and if I change size in img, then all images (thumbnails etc) changes. That's not what I want.

How come WordPress generates this width automatically when I upload images to a post?
This only happens for images there are larger than 474 px.

Should I create my own editor-style.css in the childtheme? I just want all images to have the same size as I upload, I don't want WordPress to change it.
