Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » image sizes not affected

Previously the image size was 600×600 which actually was showing as 550×550, to a certain time, this was fine.

Now, I want to change the size reducing it to 400×400, at the backend, it actually does the changes, but in the front end the image is stretched to the 550×550, they need to be the same size as set in the backend. My aim mainly is the single product page.

I contacted the theme developers and they replied that the control of the size is in woocommerce, so I need your help in this.

I have used a CSS code to reduce the size, it somehow worked on the single product page, but the product slider images became larger sized at the time they need to be smaller which is affected at the carousel slider plugin side.

So, appreciate if you provide me with a CSS code to solve this problem.

WooCommerce has default sizes set, however those can be overridden by your theme.

If your theme declares image sizes, then that is what WooCommerce will use.

If your theme doesn’t declare image sizes, then WooCommerce will use it’s default sizing (350px for a single image). If your theme doesn’t declare sizing, you’ll also be able to adjust the sizes yourself. You can do this by going to:

    – Click on Appearance > Customizer
    – Click on the WooCommerce menu option

From there you can check if you are able to adjust the image sizes for your WooCommerce catalog and single product pages.

If you need to override the default sizing of your theme, I’d recommend taking a look at this helpful guide:
