image sitemap NOT working

    all pages on my site redirect to home page, savingsmedia.shop once i activate the image, video sitemap plugin. i do NOT have the pro version of yoast seo. Is this why this is happening?

    It generates the image sitemap but all my pages redirect to my home page, savingsmedia.shop.

    What am i overlooking?

    Thank you for connecting with us.

    First of all, the “Image & Video XML Sitemap” plugin works with the free version of the Yoast SEO plugin.

    I have checked your sitemap at ‘https://savingsmedia.shop/sitemap_index.xml‘, but I did not find a URL for the image sitemap. If possible, could you please share the image sitemap URL?

    Additionally, here’s a possible solution for the redirect issues: You need to update the permalink settings by going to Settings > Permalinks and saving the changes.

    I activated the plugin. Created an image sitemap named “image.xml”. Screenshot is shown below.  I made no changes to my permalink settings and then saved them.  All links on my site STILL redirect to the home page.   The image sitemap is https://savingsmedia.shop/image.xml.

    Once I deactivate the plugin, all links work fine.  

    I left the plugin activated so that you can see for yourself.

    We are having the same issue, everything redirects to the home page, so we had to turn it off.

    Hi @savingsmedia and @dangcreations,

    Thank you for reaching out and for providing the details.

    After updating the plugin, please make sure to:

    1. Go to Settings → Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Click “Save Changes” without making any modifications.
      (This refreshes the rewrite rules to make the sitemap URLs work correctly.)
