    Hi Joshua,

I haven’t had this problem with images from the iPhone, and I’ve posted quite a few via the WordPress iPhone app.

How are you uploading them to WP? From your phone using Safari or the WordPress app? Or from your computer? Do they display in the correct orientation on the phone and computer, or are they upside down there too? Which iPhone have you got?

I guess it must be a significant issue if that plugin exists, I’ve just never run into it before, which is why I wonder if they display correctly on the phone itself. And which version of the OS are you using as well.

    Hi Kristarella,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I found that when I shoot pictures on my iPhone (iPhone 5s with iOS 7) in landscape mode with the volume button facing down I don’t have any problems when uploading them to WordPress.

I upload my pictures through my Mac but wanting to use the iOS app more due to the fact that I’m traveling abroad a lot.

I’ve read that this has to do with the iPhone more than with WordPress but it’s an annoying little bug 🙁

    Thanks anyway.

    Hello people,

    Hello,

I’ve developed a plugin that fixes this bad orientation issue, you can give it a try: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ios-images-fixer/ 🙂

    Cheers!
