• Hello,
First I hope I post in the right place.

I have read that WP use responsive image for a couple of years now.
My question is pretty simple, when I write a post and I include an image, is that image is responsive by default ? Or not ?
I believe it’s not (given it always display the image in full size (way to big),even if I use my laptop or if I use my phone).

So, second questions, how to display the image responsively? Is there a way to make it automatic and simple ? Should I use a plugin for that?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Just to clarify WordPress uses srcset to help serve the right image size for different devices but that doesn’t mean your image will be “responsive” in the way you need, eg, a theme can override, page builder like elementor can override and the user can override.

At the moment there is a width of 2000px set to figure element that surrounds your image, this allows the image to be 2000px wide. Remove the 2000px on the figure element and your image will work “responsive”.

    Hello Brad,
Thanks for the explanation! You are 100% right !
I removed the 2000px width on the image and it’s now responsive …
Then It bring me to another question, is there a way in the WP editor to include image without automatically include width and height ? (so I don’t have to manually delete this information all the time ! )
