# Image resize

 * My theme uses
    [http://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Image_Editor](http://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Image_Editor)
   to resize images.
 * Google says resized images are
    * not progressive * not compressed (claims can
   losslessly save 50-90% size most times)
 * This is annoying.
    Can this be fixed?
 * I believe it also causes thumbnails to get the same performance warnings.

   see if it helps.

 * Unfortunately it seems to use WordPress built-in image scaling functions so it’s
   still not progressive
